I've been thinking about purchasing a PS3. I have had absolutely no experience with video games, and I'd just like your opinion on whether the PS3 is really worth it, both in money and in play value.

I would recommend the Xbox 360. True, PS3 does have a blueray player, but the Xbox is cheaper (or so I've heard). I don't have one, and consequently have to rely on my PC to play video games, which can be frustrating. I've had many graphics problems with my PC before. But anyway, all my friends tell me the xbox is better, so that's my opinion. (And besides, I've never played a PS3 before)
